This itinerary combines primate trekking, cultural experiences, and scenic landscapes for a well-rounded adventure. You will explore Nyungwe National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and relax along Lake Kivu while enjoying unique tea and coffee experiences. It is an ideal trip for travelers seeking wildlife, culture, and relaxation in Rwanda.

Day 1 :

Arrival and accommodation in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our driver will drive you at the hotel for dinner; accommodation at Galaxy Hotel

Day 2 :

Kigali City tour, and driving to Nyungwe NP

After breakfast at 8:30am, we visit Kigali Genocide Memorial to know the History of Rwanda during the 1994 Tutsi Genocide and learn about other Genocide around the world until 11:00am. After lunch transfer to Nyungwe for Accommodation and Dinner at Ken Barham Guest House

Day 3 :

Trekking Chimpanzees and Canopy walkway

We start the tour at 5:00am to trek Chimpanzees until lunch time. At 2pm, we have a walk on canopy a suspended 70 meters above the forest and stretching 200 meters long providing breathtaking views of the rainforest; dinner and overnight at Ken Barham Guest House.

Day 4 :

Nature walk to waterfall and trekking Colobus Monkeys

At 6:30am we go for a walk towards Ndambarare Waterfall. Hiking to these majestic attractions allow us to discover the beauty of the natural forest, feel the fresh breath and encounter different birds and primates i.e. silver Monkeys and Mountain Monkeys. After lunch, we are trekking the Angolan Colobus Monkeys; the biggest group of over 400 individuals in one group is habituated and you can see the maximum of this exciting primate; accommodation and dinner at Ken Barham Guest House.

Day 5 :

Tea processing experience and driving along Lake Kivu

At 7:00am after breakfast, we go to the farms of tea around Nyungwe Forest. We learn, how tea is nursed, planted and harvested then we continue to factory to learn the process up the consumable product. After lunch we drive along Lake Kivu towards Kibuye town and we can see the scenery and landscape of Rwanda; Dinner and overnight are at Bethany Hotel.

Day 6 :

Explore Lake Kivu islands on a boat and coffee processing experience

After breakfast, we take a motor boat to explore several islands of Lake Kivu as we are riding to Volcanoes NP via Gisenyi Town. We stop at Kinunu Coffee Washing Station to learn how coffee is planted, harvested and processed. After lunch, we proceed to Musanze town; dinner and overnight are at Fatima Hotel

Day 7 :

Dian Fossey Tomb Hike and Departure

Early morning at 6:30am after breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters of Volcanoes National Park for registration and briefing. Embark on a guided hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb, where you will learn about her remarkable conservation work and legacy in protecting mountain gorillas. The hike lasts until early afternoon, after you will return to Kigali for your departure flight
